KRATT is the public brand of Kratt Ventures Limited, a New Zealand technology consultancy.
The name
Why KRATT
The name comes from Estonian folklore. A kratt was something assembled from available parts and put to work for a purpose. KRATT takes the useful part of that idea: combine the right technology, engineering and judgement, then make it do useful work.
The logo follows the same idea: three separate strokes - software, intelligence and research - assembled into one mark, with a small spark at the point where the parts become active.
Founder
Martin Kambla
CEO
Martin is a software engineer, technology leader and former founder-CTO with more than a decade of experience spanning software platforms, infrastructure, AI, computer vision and applied R&D.
He co-founded Timbeter and served as its CTO, leading the Web, Mobile and R&D functions while remaining hands-on in software development and architecture. That work combined production software used by international customers with long-running research into computer vision and image-based measurement. Martin is a named co-inventor on a published image-processing patent application.
Martin is based in New Zealand and founded Kratt Ventures Limited to offer that breadth - software, AI and research - to organisations that need senior, hands-on technical ownership.
